“It tastes like more.”

I don’t know how well you keep up with Brew events, but maybe you’ve heard: we are experiencing what has come to be known as the chocolate chip cookie debacle of winter 2010-11. You see, in an effort to celebrate the winter season, we decided to make a temporary change in the lunch cookies; because what says “winter” better than a snickerdoodle cookie? . . . Certain people have been less than celebratory . . . . (i.e. The time that Steve Olson received his lunch—naturally including the said celebratory snickerdoodle cookie—and proceeded to call the Brew (while sitting at a booth inside the Brew) and make it known that he had no chocolate chip cookie.  Alissa was apologetic, to be sure.)  It seems we serve a holiday spirit-less bunch. Sad, to be sure.
However, there are at least a few who appreciate this winter season and our delicious snickerdoodle cookies.  A couple weeks ago, I was talking to Matt and Taylor Smith, and when Alex walked in she saw their daughter, Olive. “Hi, Olive!  Come give me a hug!” . . . Olive smiled her big, beautiful smile, “Cookie?”. (Snickerdoodles at the time.  What do you think about that, Steve?)
A few weeks later, I was baking in the back, when someone (I think it was Alissa) heard a lady trying to get our attention.  So, Alissa went into the front and came back with the sweetest story.  Apparently the woman had a little boy—around two years old, I assume—who seemed to be quite taken with the snickerdoodles, “it tastes like more!” he said.  From the mouths of babes . . . .
