A Barista family Christmas

I found this quote while reading:

"Eating is not merely a material pleasure. Eating well gives a spectacular joy to life and contributes immensely to goodwill and happy companionship. It is of great importance to the morale."

Elsa Schiaparelli Italian designer (1890-1973)
I feel like Elsa and I could have been great friends.

In case you could not guess, I love to cook for friends and family! It is so much fun to plan a menu and then have everyone come and enjoy the food! So, I wanted to cook for everyone at the Brew for Christmas. We had the party earlier than Christmas (with everyone going home at different times, we had to do it sooner rather than later). I knew that cooking for twenty people was going to be an undertaking so I enlisted the help of both Alissa the fairy, and Jess (together we are invincible!) I decided to make an invitation as well, and had Jess pose for the perfect picture. Then it was time to set the menu; I decided on:

                       Feta and Walnut Salad with

Cranberry Vinaigrette

Fresh Green Beans
with Butter Sauce

Creamed Potatoes with
Parmesan and Garlic

Texas-rubbed Brisket

Individual
Cherry Cranberry Cobblers

In a few short days, we had the party and it was a success! We ate SO much food and shared a few of our favorite moments at the Brew (actually David shared a few of his favorite moments with us). It was so great; everyone was here and none of us were working it is not often we all get to hang out with each other and just enjoy the fellowship. It was a great way to get us all in the Christmas spirit and it again made us realize how blessed we are to have the greatest coworkers and bosses! Once again, we love it here!

Merry Christmas!
